Cycling into Summer: Essential Tips for E-bike Enthusiasts
To avoid the hottest part of the day, plan your rides for early mornings or late evenings. These cooler times provide a more comfortable environment and allow you to enjoy the beauty of sunrise and sunset
JOBOBIKE Helps To Lower Emissions
What contribution are you making to the environment by opting for an e-bike journey? A miracle! In 2023, CO2 emissions in Germany fell to their lowest level in 7 decades at 6.73 tonnes. However, to achieve the desired climate goals, a change in the way we commute is also needed. The results of a study show that the world could save around 592 million tonnes of carbon dioxide per year if each person rode an e-bike 2.6 kilometres per day instead of driving. This corresponds to around 88% of Germany's CO2 emissions in 2023, so please don't wait and use your e-bike to go further. JOBOBIKE is committed to greener travel. Even if everyone cycled just 1.6 kilometres a day - the Danish average - 414 million tonnes of CO2 could already be saved. This corresponds to the total emissions of Great Britain in 2022.
2. Sun protection is key
Protecting yourself from the sun is crucial during summer rides. Apply a high SPF sunscreen generously and reapply it every couple of hours, especially if you're sweating. Wearing a lightweight, breathable hat under your helmet can provide additional protection for your head and face.
